The TED Conference (Technology, Entertainment and Design) was in Monterey for the last time this week, (after 25 years in Monterey, they're moving to Long Beach??). It was at the Monterey Conference Center near my sales fishing spot, the Monterey Wharf.
I thought...hot damn...lots of "advanced" thinking folks to approach to sell the book, (Jerry Stocking's, Laughing With God).
Boy was I delusional. These folks were into themselves just like everyone else...maybe even more so...Gotta run, late for an appointment...your book's about god...yikes. Whoa, then I realized, I had a story about them and the great sales I'd make at the conference. I experienced a bit of compassion not only for them but moi.
